Caroling and midnight mass?
Tim emails with two questions:
Back home in LA every year I go around with a group of musicians who sing Christmas Carols in hospitals and nursing homes. I was wondering if you might point me in the right direction as to where I could do some Christmas Caroling this season.
If not that, how about a good candlelight/midnight mass? Does this stuff exist in Albany???
Anyone have suggestions for Tim? Please share!

The Cathedral does midnight mass. As far as caroling goes, there used to be people who came around the great Pine Hills but haven't seem then in awhile. Ask someone in the PH Neighborhood Association.

You are most welcome at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Eagle St for midnight mass. Service starts at 11:15 with readings and carols.

Terra Nova Church (http://terranovachurch.org/) will be having a candlelight service at 6pm on Christmas Eve in Revolution Hall on River St in Troy. This is always a very special service for our family. After all of the hustle and bustle of preparing for Christmas morning, we have found it to be a critical time to get back to why we're doing all of this. Celebrating with friends and family is such a joy! Also, it has been the church's tradition that each year we choose a local charitable organization, and contribute 100% of our Christmas Eve offering to that organization as a way of serving our community. This year, we are pleased to be supporting the Rensselaer County Habitat for Humanity where a number of Terra Nova people volunteer. Hope to see you there!
