Washington Park tulips and sunshine

When we started AOA a decade ago we had no idea what was going to happen. And it turned out better than we could have expected. We met so many interesting people and learned so much about this place.

Now that it's ended we are so grateful for the relationships, for the stories, for the comments, for the encouragement, for everyone who took a chance on us -- for all of it.

Thank you.

End of an era! ????

You kept me informed, lifted me culturally (a bit) and helped me broaden my social life. You listened and advised, gently.

Gonna miss you guys. Thannks so much for easing my entrance to Albany. Know that you'll be missed.

Noooooooooooooooooo! I still can't believe it.

Thank you, Mary and Greg, for being great and for shining light on the fun and interesting that was happening in Albany and the greater Capital Region. I may not be in the area anymore and may have been a bit busy with all my going ons of daily life but I admire you both and the work you dedicated yourself to that brought people and our region together.

Thank you for improving the quality of my life here in the region, and I wish you the best and whatever comes next!

Thank you for the wonderful article which was also used for a DVD which interviewed my Mom, Ruth Schlomberg and several other long-term Troy folks about life in this area during WWII and the dedication everyone had to the war effort. She was so proud to talk about this very important chapter in her life working as a "Rosie the Riverter" at the Watervliet Arsenal and making every effort to be mindful of the efforts they could make at home to assist our troops. Thank you again!

Best wishes in your next endeavor. This is a fine thing you have created and your contributions will be missed.

Sad to see you go but I do understand needing a new adventure. Good luck to you on your future endeavors and thank you for your service to the community.

Thank YOU, Mary and Greg! I don't know what my go-to for news, events and interesting tidbits will be now. Thanks for 10 wonderful years.

Thank you so much and best of luck with whatever you choose to do next. This was a great help to the community and I hope others will pick up the slack. You will be missed!

thank you for everything and best of luck!!!

Thanks, AOA!

Mary, Godspeed in your new endeavors and home. Albany owes you a debt of gratitude for all your work on this service, and I was wondering what would happen to AOA.....

Thank You AOA!

' We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but i know we'll meet again some sunny day"
May you both have good health, happiness & fortune always!
You have brought knowledge, and entertainment to all who read A.O.A.& i am so sad it is ended.
I know whatever you both do will be a blessing to your boss & community!
Thank you for including me in your fun parties!

Thank you AOA

Thanks

Thanks so much...left Albany too many years ago but you helped keep me connected. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you!!!!

Sad to see you go. Loved reading the updates on the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail. Thank you, AOA!

I realize I am late to this announcement....I've been off the grid on maternity leave and just came back today to catch up. What an announcement I missed! So sad to see you go - thank you for your awesome work over the years! Wishing you guys all the best!

Still visiting to check "things to do this weekend", silly me.

You will be missed. You mean a lot to many in our community, including me.

Lol I keep checking....and hoping for miracles.....Albany is a very empty place right now!

By now you guys know that your are missed. Being old enough to remember Larry Hart, a reporter for the older Schenectady Gazette, he enlightemed his readers with a column titled, "Tales of Old Dorp", an older take on Scenectady with a lean towards it's Dutch Heritage, hence the Dorp wich is a Dutch word. Please come back, you are certainly missed.

You will truly be missed! Thank you for keeping us informed over the years. Also, thank you for showing me how great a place Albany (and the Capital District) is!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
