Nite Moves -- and Steve Barnes -- on the Colbert Report

Heh. The Colbert Report last night recognized Nite Moves owner Stephen Dick as a "difference maker" for his fight to have stripping regarded as an art form. For tax purposes. So he wouldn't have to pay a lot of back taxes.

Steve Barnes plays a prominent role in the segment, lending his expertise in art criticism. And what it's like to have breast sweat smeared on your glasses. (Steve says over at Table Hopping that he's "generally pleased" with how his appearance turned out.)

As you know, Nite Moves recently lost its case before the state's highest court in a 4-3 decision.

In the kitchen with the TOP finalists

Check it out: Steve visited the two finalists in the 2010 Tournament of Pizza -- DeFazio's in Troy and Marino's in Schenectady -- to find out which pizzas they'll be entering in the final showdown. This video will make you hungry:

Bold choice by DeFazio's going with the whole wheat crust. And how about the way Mario from Marino's tosses that dough?

Thanks to Steve and the two pizzerias for joining in on the fun! And many thanks to Jennifer Gish for her help.

We're very happy that the Times Union's Steve Barnes -- who writes the Table Hopping blog and column -- has been joining in on the fun of the 2010 Tournament of Pizza. Steve went 3-4 in the second round and is now 10-12 for the tournament. On Wednesday, he'll have a video report from the two shops that make it to the finals.

Here's Steve's look at the semi-final match-ups. Results from this round of veggie pizzas on Tuesday.

We're very happy to announce that as part of a collaboration between AOA and the Times Union, the TU's Steve Barnes -- who writes the Table Hopping blog and column -- will be handicapping each round of the 2010 Tournament of Pizza. He'll also be visiting the two finalists for a video segment ahead of the championship round.

Here's Steve's look at the opening matchups. Results from "the cheese round" start later today.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
