The 1975 at Glens Falls Civic Center

the band The 1975

The pop rock band The 1975 is set play a show at the Glens Falls Civic Center May 28. Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 27 -- they're $35 and up. (There's also a presale starting Wednesday.)

The band is touring in support of its 2016 album I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, which briefly topped the album charts in the US, UK, and Australia.

The stop in Glens Falls is part of a tour all over this hemisphere before heading to Europe in the summer.

Brand New at Glens Falls Civic Center

the band brand new 2016

The rock band Brand New is set to play a show at the Glens Falls Civic Center October 14. Tickets went on sale this past Friday (August 5) -- they're $27 and up.

If you're thinking about going, it's a good idea to get tickets soon. Brand New sold out a show at Upstate Concert Hall back in 2013, and another one at Brewery Ommegang last summer.

Openers for the Glens Fall show are The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball.

I ride every day to work, and also after work for exercise. I love the concept of being a person who happens to ride a bike. There's a level of bike riding, with the high performance gear and sleek clothing, that makes riding seem like its not for everyone. I try to avoid markers like that, and always wear regular clothing/shoes/backpack with dumpy-looking bike. One concession is bike gloves.
