Certified Angus Beef Movies at The Palace

Raisin in the Sun movie posterIf you're taste in films is a little more old school, you might want to check out Albany's Palace Theater. Tonight at 7:00 The Palace is screening Sidney Poitier's 1961 classic, "A Raisin in the Sun". The theater's a classic too. Recently renovated and gorgeous to look at, so get there in time to scout out the perfect balcony seat and enjoy the atmosphere. Ticket's are only 5 bucks, so you can splurge on popcorn or wine. It's part of the theater's Certified Angus Beef classic movie series. Yes, you read that correctly. No, there's no beef involved. What do you want for 5 bucks.

Comments

I really expected the writer of this blurb to hit us with a hideous beef pun right up there in the second half of the first sentence...something like "if your taste in films is a little more carnivorous". Kudos on your restraint.

Also can't help but notice there are several grammatical errors here although not on the grand scale of the Sears classic. Et tu, All Over Albany?

Elizabeth: You're correct. (And we totally had that coming!)

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

My friend and I were walking back to my apartment after the anti-fracking concert. I live near the corner of dove & Madison. The car & the damage were crazy. Half of the front was crumpled & the glass was shattered and almost out of the front window. It looked as if a something was launched right through the front dash & window.
