The Bros Pork Taco

a pork taco at Bros

Muy bueno.

One of the things that had been missing from the local food scene was a walk-in, hit-me-with-a-good-taco kind of place. But lucky for us, Bros Tacos has started to fill that spot nicely over the past year.

We're far from the first to hail Bros. So here's just a quick take on our favorite taco there: the Bros Pork Taco. We love the way the citrus marinade and pineapple salsa picks up the pork while the saltiness of the cotija cheese keeps it grounded. And then there's the corn tortilla -- the real thing, made fresh each day.

One of these tacos makes a great snack. Get two and you're good to go for the whole afternoon.

The Bottom Line

When we have a craving for real tacqueria-style tacos, we hit up Bros Tacos. The Bros Pork is great, but we've had a bunch of the others and they're pretty good, too. The rice and beans there hasn't been so hot, though. So, if you're looking to fill up, just order another taco.

It's even bigger than I remember it.

Also, their seafood tacos? Perfectly cooked, and not a rubbery shrimp in sight.

Yea this place is really good. It's a whole in the wall but the food is legit. The carne asada burritos and the baja tacos are the best i've ever had.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
