The Yes Men in Troy tonight

yes_men_logo.jpgupdated at 2:04 pm Tuesday

Political (performance artists/protesters/culture jammers) The Yes Men (Wikipedia) will be appearing tonight in Troy to talk about their upcoming movie and, presumably, their latest go-around with a big corporation. They recently "apologized" to BP for spoofing the oil company's website.

The Sanctuary for Independent Media is hosting the event, but not at its regular place. The org has set up at the Christ Church United Methodist until its code violation dispute with the City of Troy is resolved.

It looks like there's going to be a protest this evening at Troy City Hall about the code enforcement situation. A group called the Capital Region Committee for Free Expression is organizing people at 5:30 pm.

(Thanks for the tip, Renée!)
