VH-1's Best Week Ever blog has named Siena's St. Bernard mascot one of the 10 most absurd of the NCAA tournament. As they write, "Either someone confused human saints with St. Bernard dogs, or St. Catherine was actually a dog impersonating a saint, like that one female pope." This dog doesn't exactly bark like that, though. The mascot is actually a reference to St. Bernadine of Siena, the school's patron.

I always thought the St. Bernard looked really mad because it was being squeezed out of a tube of toothpaste stuck in the "S" in Siena. Just lame. Don't tell my boyfriend that- he went there.

I have always maintained that the Great Dane(as a breed and mascot) is better. Just sayin'....
