Cancel that card

Just a reminder that if you used your credit or debit card at Hannaford since December of last year, it's probably a good idea to get a new number. Our card company actually did this without us even asking. It led to a strange sensation: a small stirring of warmth toward our card company. Of course, they're just concerned about protecting themselves. And if it was worth it for a huge multinational company to cancel a bunch of cards to do this, then you should probably take the time to do it, too.

Yeah, my card company JUST, literally, JUST called me saying my card had been "compromised" (and I'm from DELAWARE--I just used my card once at a Hannaford when I was visiting before I moved) and that they were already sending me out a new one. I'm guessing the cc companies aren't really the devil after all. But Albany politicians...I'm still waiting for an apology call from them.

The Scoop
