Bringing home the federal bacon
According to the 2008 Congressional Pig Book, here are the "pork" totals for local members of Congress:
Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-20th): $23.8 million (#182 in the House)
Rep. Mike McNulty (D-21st): $17.2 million (#250 in the House)
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D): $298.3 million (#12 in the Senate)
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D): $296.2 million (#13 in the Senate)
Overall, New York ranks 50th in federal pork per capita.

Nice to see that Mike McNulty is so far down on the list for pork spending. It just goes to show that Mike has always done the best for his constituants as his Country whenever possible. On top of that N.Y. is 50th for pork overall. I guess that we New Yorkers can really complain about the pork barrell spending that the other States are doing without much reprisals.
