Apparently there is some accounting for taste

michelle moshierAfter seeing today that UAlbany accounting professor Michelle Moshier has been declared UAlbany's hottest prof, we decided to follow up a bit. You know, due diligence and all that.

Here's a clip from the Albany Student Press article about Moshier:

"All the guys in her class go just to look at her!" UAlbany junior and Moshier student Jacqueline Rodd said.

Sorry gentlemen, but this looker is a missus. Her husband, she has been married to for 15 years, actually doesn't like his wife's high "hotness" factor.

"He just doesn't want to hear anything about it," Moshier said. "He's like, 'You need to start dressing differently,' and I don't go in there in a tube top. I dress professionally! I think I dress young."

"She dresses, like, business-sexy," Rodd said.

Moshier said she often has female students asking her where she buys her clothes.

"I go in trying to look nice."

Later in the story Moshier attributes her "hotness" score on Rate My Professors to her personality and the effort she makes to engage her classes.

The students seem to notice. Among the comments about Moshier at the site:

"After 5 semesters at Albany, she's still the best teacher I've had here. Not easy, but an outstanding TEACHER and goes out of her way to make sure students understand the material."

"Extremely helpful professor, takes time out to go over material so that it is clearly understood and gives excellent preparation for exams, will go out of her way to help students in any possible way, great person as well, highly reccomend"

Let's see her in that tube top!!

Ok, her husband definitely needs to stop feeling threatened and instead, be proud of her. Sheesh!

Can the lady teach and do her students learn?

That's all I care about.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
