According to a report from the Bizjournals group (to which the Business Review belongs), Albany is the 11th "smartest" city in the US (methodology). Albany got edged out of the top 10 by Colorado Springs. But it handily topped the #12 city, Austin. Yeah, who's the A-Town now?!?
