Local Music at Albany Public Library

Want to check out the album of that great local band you saw at Valentines' last month but don't know where to get it? Soon you might be able to find it at the Albany Public Library.

The library is currently working on adding a local CD collection to their racks at the main branch at 161 Washington Ave. They're asking local musicians to consider adding their CDs to the collection, because "there are over 50,000 library cardholders who are your potential fans and supporters."

Musicians who want to add their album to the collection should stop by the Main Library to fill out an invoice and cataloging form, which shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Hand in the completed form and the CD (no demos!) and they'll send you a check. Library policy doesn't allow them to pay cash.

The Waterford Public Library has several local acts in it's CD collection including No Outlet and the Gibson Brothers. Local acts interested in adding their music to the collection should contact the director at the email address above.

Righteous! I'll use this link as a post to the Friends of the APL site.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
