What's blooming in The Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: weather obsession, Mother's Day near disaster, hot pants, and spanakopita...

"Horatio" of iSaratoga has been thinking about all the drama over the proposed indoor rec center in Saratoga Springs. And His Crankiness has decided the real problem is you and your weather obsession.

Rob Madeo tells us how he cooly plucked Mother's Day victory from the jaws of sleeping on the couch.

Kristi G has the scoop on the seemingly must-have men's pants this season in the Capital Region. Think table cloths.

Our blog BFF CelinaBean was recently reunited with some old friends. And spanakopita.

And Me. has what we can only hope is the first of many CDT&A posts.

Rats. When I saw "spanakopita" in the post, I thought it meant a recommendation as to where to get good spanakopita in Albany. When I lived on Long Island, there was (still is) a great restaurant (Acropolis) which served the *best* spanakopita I've ever had. I just wish I could find good spanakopita in the Capital Region. Any recommendations?

I'm not much of an aficionado, but I've had it had Grecian Gardens in Clifton Park and it was pretty tasty.

His Crankiness?

Catchy, accurate and witty.I like it.
