Nanotech, nanotech, nanotech
About 150 nanotech execs from various companies are visiting UAlbany today and an announcement of some type is on their agenda. No specifics yet, but you know what happens when you run around the room yelling "Nanotech! Nanotech! Nanotech!" right? It rains money. So keep your umbrellas handy.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

I was on NPR's website last night and I came across this:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=90769120
The audio is an interview with one of the authors of a recent Nature paper in which researchers determined that certain carbon nanotubes (long, straight, thin ones) may behave similarly to asbestos fibers.
I know very little about carbon nanotubes and I couldn't help but wonder what researchers from the School of Nanotech think.
Any nanoscientists out there who wants to explain their interpretation of the results to a biologist?
