When it came out that the Mangia at Stuyvesant Plaza was going to be replaced by an all-new Mediterreanean-themed restaurant, we had visions of over-priced couscous. But after hearing via Steve Barnes that the chef and front-of-the-house guy from McGuire's will be heading up the place, we're very much intrigued. (And it doesn't sound like it'll be ridiculously expensive, either.)

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.

Wow...Based on the construction, (the old Mangia's has been *leveled* and the earth salted) we thought nothing was ever going to go up on that site ever again. We were concerned that maybe the Evil Corporate Chain Restaurant Named After A Day Of The Week across the parking lot had launched some horrible eliminate the competition campaign or something.
In any case, the Long Haired Ambulance Partner and I will certainly look forward to giving it a try.
