BLTs at Lakeside Farms

BLT.jpg

Bacon. Photogenic? No. Tasty? Yes!

This should really be called "eat this right now!"

Your tomato days are quickly running out. Before they're gone, be sure to get a couple of BLTs in. And if one of them comes from Lakeside Farms, you won't be sorry.

We'll admit it, bacon makes us happier than it probably should. Lakeside uses Oscar's Adirondack Smokehouse bacon. It's a thick bacon made from center cut, boneless pork loin and cured with sugar and salt. Mmmmm.

The nice Lakeside people put it on their homemade bread with fresh, juicy tomatoes,
crisp lettuce and a little mayo. Is it rocket science? Uh-uh. It's just layers of good stuff between more good stuff. If you had the ingredients, you could easily put it together for yourself.

But at Lakeside you can get fresh cider donuts for dessert. Don't you just love the fall?

Wiping the drool off my keyboard. You guys are just cruel! Love Lakeside Farms and plan to be there this weekend. Thinking I'm gonna order the BLT...then again, their salads are amazing and they're HUGE.

Crisp bacon is my favorite.

Mmmm.... looks great! But, is the bacon on the left a bit under-cooked? One of my pet peeves for sure!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
