Tesoro
We've noticed in our recent search traffic that people have been looking for info about Tesoro, the Italian restaurant that recently replaced Nicole's Italia in Guilderland. Has anyone been since the switch? Is it worth checking out? What's the scoop?

Food was great. The red sauces were particularly wonderful. Great appetizers, a wonderful home made blue cheese dressing, and a nice selection of desserts (try the lemon sorbet). Nice atmosphere. Well worth the trip to Twenty Mall.

I recently had dinner at Tesoro and the food was amazing! I plan to take my entire family there this weekend for my mom's birthday. The chef brought the same menu items to Teroso that made Lombardo's so popular over the years. It is definitely worth checking out!

I went as well. The food was great, the service was awful. They did not have enough staff. Our waiter never once even tried to apologize or explain. ( The owners kids however, were outstanding!)
Not sure if I will go back, but if they do not get more staff or learn how deal with customers when there are few waiters, they wll not make it.

I was there this past Saturday night with my girlfriend. The red sauce was great, it reminded me of my grandma's from when I was a kid. I thought the service was pretty good, the wait staff seemed pretty knowledgeable about the menu and were all around pretty helpful. I have friends coming in from out of town this weekend and will definitely be taking them there.

I was at Tesoro the first week it opened. The food was wonderful but we waited too long and they were clearly figuring things out. The owner was kind, thanked us for our patience, and explained they didn't expect such a large turnout (a good problem to have). We went back again two weeks later and there were more than enough servers. They certainly figured things out quickly. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it!

We've been there several times (and frequently tell folks from out of town that some of the Capital District's best restaurants are in strip malls). Menu is excellent and diverse, atmosphere is nice, our experience with service has been fine. It has quickly become a favorite place. Also appropriate for family, dates, or a professional dinner meeting.
