Of course it won, it's Kick Ass

Raise a glass to C.H. Evans Brewing Company's Kick Ass Brown. The signature brew from The Albany Pump Station picked up a gold medal this weekend in a national competition at The Great American Beer Festival in Denver. The Olde Saratoga Brewing Company picked up a silver. Cheers.

A pint of Kick Ass Brown and an order of fish & chips at the Pump Station is seriously the best lunch I've ever had in the capital region. And trust me, I throw a pretty mean picnic.

i feel like a bad person for saying that their beer gives me a headache. i had a glass of that brown ale last week and it was delicious, but a few hours later the headache arrived.

you know what? that happens a lot after i drink just one microbrew. someone once told me it had to do with something i can't remember (not because of an excess of beer). perhaps a shorter brewing time? hmm.

I used to drink wine. This girl asked me, “Doesn’t wine give you a headache?” “Yeah, eventually, but the first and the middle part are amazing!”

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
