It Came From Schenectady
What better way to celebrate Halloween than a with a batch of cult horror flicks. The folks that brought you the It Came From Schenectady film festival have lined up a trio of monster movies(Evil Dead2, Tod Browning's FREAKS, Scary Kids Gone Bad) for a late night mini film fest at Proctors tonight. The macabre movies start at 11PM $14

It's just a jump to the left...
Break out the leather bustier (What? You don't have one) and get ready to do The Time Warp. There are a couple of screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show in the area tonight. You can catch this cult favorite at 11PM at the Linda Norris Auditorium in Albany for $6. Bring your squirt guns, rice and toast to this one. Home Made Theater in Saratoga has a showing at 10PM. They're only charging $5, but you'll have to leave your toast (and other props) at home. Costumes, singing, talking back to the screen and dancing in the aisles are still encouraged.

Evening with the Improv
The improvisational comedy group Mop & Bucket Company are making things up all weekend. Tonight they're at Caffe Lena in Saratoga. Saturday you can catch their Theatresports show at The Arts Center of the Capital Region on River Street in Troy.

Haunted Museum
The New York State Museum transforms into The Haunted Museum of Unnatural History from 6-10 tonight as a fundraiser for the museum's after school programs. Leave the kiddies at home tonight though, it's not recommended for anyone under 10. $7. 474-5877.

Boo
Last chance this season to freak yourself out with a ghost tour of Saratoga Springs or a trip on the Haunted Hayride at the Altamont Fairgrounds.

Troy Night Out
It's the last Friday of the month, the weather is crisp but clear, and Troy will be hopping tonight. Shops and galleries are open late (and it's the last night out for Kismet)
Don't forget to hit the Official Unofficial after party at Revolution Hall with The Jerks (the debut of a combination of Jenks and Back from Japan.) The party starts at MIDNIGHT this month, right after the Sirsy masquerade ball.

Spa City First Saturday
Shops and galleries are open late in Saratoga this Saturday night for the monthly
First Saturday celebration.

Troy has an orchestra?
It does now. The Troy Orchestra will hold it's first formal concert on Saturday night at Christ Church United Methodist at the corner of State St. and 5th Ave in The Collar City.7:30. Free.

Bike Polo
Play or watch a bike polo match at the tennis courts in Washington Park on Sunday afternoon. You bring the bike, they'll supply the mallets. Free.

Short Films at Proctors
Asbury Shorts, NYC's longest running festival of some of the world's best short films comes to Proctor's.
Featuring films by Oscar nominated director Jason Reitman ( "JUNO" "Thank You for Smoking") and 10 other international festival award winners. Sunday night at 7. $12

4 for $100
Try this night out for four people for $100. Sounds like fun to us.
