For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
When we started AOA a decade ago we had no idea what was going to happen. And it turned out better than we could have... (more)
This all feels like the last day of camp or something. And we're going to miss you all so much. But we'd like to stay... (more)
Working on AOA over the past decade has been a life-changing experience for me and it's shaped the way I think about so many things.... (more)
If winter ever gets its act together and drops more snow on us, there will be sidewalks to shovel. And shortly after that, Albany will... (more)
Last week we were fortunate enough to spend a few minutes with Jack McEneny -- former state Assemblyman, unofficial Albany historian, and genuinely nice guy.... (more)

It's annoying when a blog posts a story from another blog. I already got this yesterday from the 518 Living blog. Please stick to posting original content and assume that your audience is smart enough to subscribe to multiple blogs.

It's annoying when blog readers assume that everyone has time to subscribe to and read multiple blogs. Many of us have lives that involve work and school and family and friends and such that take up quite a bit of time in which case we don't really have time to scour the internet for more blogs to read.
Plus, a blog linking to a story on another blog may bring in new readers to the linked blog. Not everyone has superpowers that allow them to be immediately aware when another worthwhile blog hits the internet.
And finally, there's that old saying about what happens when you assume. Hopefully you've heard it...and if not maybe you can use your blog superpowers to help you find it. Don't get your cape caught in the door on your way out.

It appears as if the word of the day is "blog."

Emma, speak for yourself about not having super powers. Just sayin'.

I didn't say that we didn't have any. I just said that not everyone had that particular superpower. We all know you have superpowers Pantaloons...and we respect that.

Quite right Emma! I wouldn't have found AOA if it wasn't for Kristi's blog on the TU site. Once and awhile there's a repeat but most of the posts are not... and who really cares anyway, skip it if you already read it.
Back on topic: the baby burrito is hilarious! : )

I agree with Emma and caffeine... I don't have time to read other blogs, and I appreciate that the AOA crew takes the time to slog through the e-muck to bring me the most interesting local tidbits.
I never would have known about the Bomber's baby Jesus without AOA, and for that, I am happy.
As for the burrito Itself, I can only assume it is topped with Cheeses of Nazareth.

We've been called lots of things, but "e-muck" takes the cake.

Who knows more about this 518living.com website? I'm curious because it's an oddly half-baked WNYT property that isn't sure you should know who's behind it.
