Fare hike petition

The Capital Region Transit Advocates, "a coalition of transit riders and supporters," has posted a petition online urging CDTA to reconsider its 50 percent fare hike next year.

Comments

Signed, though personally the hike won't affect me too much. I get a discount on monthly swipers, but I know that many, many low and fixed income riders will really be hit hard by this.

"By submitting, you become a member of Citizen Action of New York..."

Hmm, let CDTA know that people outside of Citizen Action also agree with the substance of the petition!

Hi Ed:

The petition will be presented from the Capital Region Transit Advocates.

We (Citizen Action) have endorsed this particular cause and offered to create the online version of the petition so it could be easily promoted on the internet. The "become a member" clause is standard on all of our internet forms, and just means that you'll be added to our email list (from which you can easily unsubscribe any time you get an email from us).

Thanks for your support of this campaign!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
