First born
According to the numbers out this week from the CDC, the average age at which a woman has her first child in New York State is 26.8 years -- only NJ, MA and CT have higher average ages. Also: New York has one of the lowest teen birth rates in the country.

Thank you, CDC, for giving my mother evidence to fuel her "So when am I getting a grandbaby from you?" inquisitions.

I know it's a more difficult stats to get, but am I the only guy who wonders at which age a man "has" his first child? I recently heard we are involved in the process too. Somehow.

Apparently I need to move to CT, NJ or MA... NY's putting WAYYY too much pressure on me to procreate.

I wouldn't worry about pressure to procreate. NY State's so far in the hole, they can't afford to follow you around w/a turkey baster. (Not to mention the resulting tax deduction 9 mos. later.)
