Lunching with Obama

Obama speaking

You can eat while he talks.

James emailed us this morning:

I'll be at work tomorrow but I want to watch the Inauguration. Are there any restaurants or bars in the Capital Region that are planning any noontime events centered around the Inauguration? I work in Niskayuna, but I'm sure I'm not the only one in the area who might be interested in such a thing.

Anyone know of a good place to lunch with Obama? We're guessing most places with a TV (sports bars/restaurants included) will probably have it on.

Here are a few places to watch the inauguration -- not necessarily with lunch...

+ The NY Network will be showing the inauguration on the big screens at the Madison end of the ESP concourse.

+ The Albany Public Library will be showing the inauguration at the main library on Washington Ave.

+ The Movieland theater in Schenectady is showing the event. It's free to get -- doors open at 10 am.

And later in the day, Citizen Action is showing a replay (it appears) at Envy in downtown Albany at 5:30. It's $10 at the door ($5 ahead of time). Light hors'dourves will be served along with a cash bar.

Know of any other parties/events for the inauguration? Share!
