Gillibrand is the Top Senator winner

Kirsten GillibrandIt's official. David Paterson has publicly announced that he is appointing Kirsten Gillibrand to Hillary Clinton's Senate seat.

And we're now reminded of the line uttered by Alec Baldwin's character in State and Main after he flips the station wagon he's driving: "So, that happened."

Poor Paterson. How's he going to get to make smug comments to the national press now?

I think it was a good choice.. she is smart, can raise money and get re-elected. And way cuter than Hilary.

If she can win in a Republican district, she should have a pretty good chance of being elected statewide. Go Kirsten!

Show me a city without a downtown parking problem, and I'll show you a city with a downtown problem. City's should embrace parking shortages as a good problem to have. It means people want to visit your city, and they're willing to pay for it. It seems the people that complain about parking the most, are the suburbanites who think they're entitled to park right in front of their destination for free.
