Flickring through the Capital Region

dream of flight

Float. Float. Float.

The photo above, of the "Dream of Flight" installation at the airport, is by Flickr user albany_tim. Check it out in a larger size.

Here are a few other local pictures that recently caught our eye on Flickr...

You gotta see this picture by user "Mary had a little anne" -- it's from the cab of a crane overlooking the Capitol.

We love how this picture by newmon captured the glow of the setting sun at one end of Lark Street.

Check out the jagged pieces in this ice jam on the Hudson captured by dhaines0521.

Look how the building reflection matches up with the corner of the reflecting building in this pic by Joey Flissss.

Here's another one by Joey Fliss -- it's a black and white night shot that makes the Corning Tower look like something out of a sci-fi noir film.

And from iessi, one of our Flickr faves, is this photo of Troy and the icy Hudson.

When does the corning tower, or anything in ESP, not look like something from a sci-fi movie?

Spotted in the Albany, Flickr group, I would add two pics I liked this week:

- "Cold Sun Rise over Albany" by jrowe831
- "Sun Burst, Fresh snow at Albany Rural Cemetery" by mikefurgang

@S: Those are great. Thanks!

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
