RR SXSW
A week-and-a-half before they hit Albany, The Hold Steady will be playing at SXSW -- at the Rachael Ray party (probably). About that Albany show on March 31: you don't have to be one-woman multimedia empire to see The Hold Steady without paying the Ticketmaster tax.

Hey, just to let everybody know - very soon (this week) we will be selling our own online advance tickets for events (NOT through Ticketmaster, and VERY low in fees) via our website.
It might be too late for The Hold Steady, but for other upcoming killer shows there will be no "Ticketmaster Tax" to speak of! :)
(when WE control the ticketing that is, outside promoters will still be able to use TM, if that's their prerogative)
