What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: Congressional poetry, Grand Slams, car wrecks, potholes, looking good, alligator, puppy people and worms.

A commenter at Planet Albany composed a poem about Jim Tedisco's run for Congress.

Naomi braved the free Grand Slam scene at the Denny's on Wolf Road yesterday.

Laura's car was hit by the Hondapocalypse. Well, that, and another car.

The RPInsider is appalled by the potholes already forming in a recently paved campus parking lot.

Sub-freezing temperatures be damned, Kristi has made the choice to look good.

If you're looking for alligator, Steve's got a few ideas.

Leigh is the Bus Whisperer.

And Leah's family has worms under their sink. In fact, they put them there.

Tweet of the week, from @robstak (who's a pathology resident at AMC): "Eating an apple, wondering- if I eat one everyday, will I keep myself away??? I think I just blew some stoner's mind"

There's a lot more going on around the Neighborhood, check it out. If you know of another great blog we should include, post a comment or send us an email: editors |at| alloveralbany |dot| com.

Another thing: It appears as if the Times Union site is down again.

@Matt: I think you're right. It was up for a few hours this morning, but I can't seem to get on, now.

Yep, people from the TU are twittering that the site is down. (I'd link, but the tweets are protected.) Here's one.

I just ordered that Urban Homestead book (re: worms under the sink). It'll be great to still enjoy Albany city living but be a little greener.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
