All this week: The Thaw

thawing ice

One downside to all the melting: that water has to go somewhere -- hopefully not in your basement.

Check out the forecasted high temps for this week:

Today: 37
Tuesday: 41
Wednesday: 51 (!)
Thursday: 46
Friday: 40

It's not exactly early Spring, but it should make some good progress on melting the snow piles. The downside to the forecast: the middle of the week is expected to be rainy.

I'm so glad I didn't fall on the ice this weekend. I even amazed myself.

Seeing that it'll be above freezing all week, I'll take the rain.

I am loving this forecast. I'll take rain over sub-zero temperatures any day.

During this heatwave of epic proportions I'll be sure to stop fanning myself with the TU (the paper version, the one that doesn't randomly stop working) just long enough to clear away all the icicles looming over my front door before they finally dislodge themselves and go all Christian Bale* on my skull.

* That's the Christian Bale from American Psycho, not the Terminator set. Or the mother-and-sister-beating incident.

This came just in time for me to get out some recently accumulated aggression whacking away at the glacier that used to be my sidewalk. I still have a smile on my face!

Today when it was light out, the end of my driveway was a lake of sorts. Now, it's a mini skating pond. I am not amused.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
