Friday: Dunbar, Margan, Jeneric, Salon!

dunbar margan jeneric poster(in our best Billy Mays voice)

There's a great night of music lined up this Friday at Valentine's!

+ Sgt Dunbar and the Hobo Banned will be playing a send-off show before heading out on tour! The tour includes a stop at the famous SXSW! As a bonus, they'll also be releasing a new five-song EP called Charles Mingus' Garbage Pile!

+ Eric Margan and the Red Lions are also on the slate! And they'll be releasing their new album Midnight Book!

+ But, wait, there's more! If you go this Friday, We are Jeneric will play for you! And double your pleasure with a performance by Salon Style (that's Gaven Richard of Kamikaze Hearts fame!)!

That's three great local bands all on one night! For the low, low price of just $7! That's right, $7 -- no shipping and handling!

Shamwow!

There's also a good show at the Upstate Artists Guild Friday with Coma (ex-Zahnarzt,) Severe Severe and some other bands I don't really know including the excellently named Ghoul Poon and Grabass Cowboys.

Thanks for the mention, we just wanted to let you know Sgt Dunbar will only be playing as an eight piece this friday. We kicked the other 72 members out of the band for voting for themselves in the metroland readers poll. It still should be a fun show though.

Gaven Richard. It can't be coma w/out keegs. Go see Gaven.

I was just going to add the UAG show, which is going to be a good one! You can preview the bands playing on their myspace pages:

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
