The AOA birthday party

aoa_party_pics30

Upstairs at the Pump Station. The actual party was in color.

AOA celebrated its first birthday (a little late) Wednesday night at the Albany Pump Station. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to have a cupcake and talk!

A bunch of pictures are after the jump (so many that the page will probably load slowly).

AOA's first year was better than we could have expected. We're really excited about what's to come in year number two.

More pictures are posted on AOA's Facebook page.

Aww Bennett, that choice of lens really didn't do justice to your pretty face :)
Was nice meeting everybody!
I have a problem with cupcakes, thank you for making me fully aware of it.

happy birthday AOA, the party was a lot of fun! thanks again for the invite and congrats on your first year!

Very, very sad to have missed you all.

It was great to meet those of you that I could, and I hope I'll get the chance to meet everyone else sometime in the near future!

Having to miss out on this was worse than getting that pimple on prom night.

I'm DEEPLY offended I wasn't invited to such a fab party. It's because I gave up cupcakes for Lent, right? RIGHT?!

Aw, I'm sorry I couldn't make it. :(

I don't recognize that dude on the right, in the second to the last picture. When were hobbits invited? Really.

Wow, seems like a nice party, but you'd think that there were absolutely no people of color "all over Albany." Geez, what year is this?

Is it me or are cupcakes and beer a great idea to way to ensure loyal followers? I've never tried the combination before but it works.

More pictures!!! There were some great poses over by the prom picture set up!!!

It was an awesome party. Congrats Mary and Greg!!!

Congrats on the anniversary. I jiust recently discovered AOA but have been enjoying what I find here quite a bit. Keep up the good work. Fun to see my friends Kim D and Sebastien at your party!

the girl next to Lucy Menard is Ashley Robinson

Editors: Thanks!

The girl in the green shirt standing next to me is named Karen. I'm not sure of her last name, but Katherine could tell you.

I really should have come to add a little color.

I was mislabeled in my high school yearbook as being "that Chinese girl" on the tennis team. I'm not Asian nor do I play tennis. ;)

had a blast and thankfully only at one cupcake - congrats, AOA.

Kim is right- her first name is Karen and her last is Merrill.

Awesome party! It was so great to talk to everyone and meet people. Whoever made the cupcakes- amaZING!

Editors: Thanks!

congrats on making it a year! greg and mary, you are a very inspiring team! thanks for the fun party. it was great meeting people in person. (although i didn't get to meet everyone i wanted to - time for an AOA tweetup!)

Finally, faces to go with all the familiar names!

We have *got* to do this again.

Good food (mmm...cupcakes), good peeps and good conversation. The party was a lot like the AOA site itself! Thanks for a great time! It was a blast to meet all of you.

Happy Birthday AOA! It was a great party and so nice to meet the people behind the community.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
