Wow is not the word we would have used
Sometimes there's just nothing to say other than, "What!?!" Check out this Delmar listing titled "AUTHENTIC KLU KLUX KLAN ROBE & HAT, WOW!" that Rob found on Craigslist (he's preserved the listing in case it gets pulled).

This is not a shocker. The KKK was not just a Southern phenomenon. In the 1920s, Klansmen (and women) had a resurgence in states such as New York with their targets being immigrants, notably Catholics and Jews. There was a lot of Klan activity from the state headquarters in Binghamton to Long Island, and in the Capital Region (11,000 KKK members in Albany-Troy-Schenectady). The New York State Museum has Klan robes and hoods in its collection as well as ephemera from the affiliated Women of the Ku Klux Klan (WKKK). Incidentally, the Klan supported women's right to vote--with the idea that Klanswomen would vote for Klan candidates and promote the KKK political agenda such as the prohibition of alcohol.
