What's up in the Neighborhood
Among the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: massive buildings, tiny food, cardigans, inhuman amounts of frosting, bikes, strip clubs and goons.
TQL writes that CDTA's Sunday service is so sparse, it almost shouldn't count for the 7-day pass.
Naomi talked about the ups and downs of her time living without a car.
Fun in Saratoga took notice of the massive Park Place Condo building going up on Broadway.
Luke wonders why UAlbany is spending the same amount of money to build half as much dorm space.
Ed Dague gives the backstory on how a "mini-tomato" could roar through Glens Falls.
Leah made a cardigan out of a crew neck.
Mr. Dave spotted Price Chopper "trying to foist inhuman amounts of frosting on the public at large."
Liz scored a new (to her) bike on Craigslist -- and saved a bunch of money.
Albany Jane posted pictures from the Almost Foodies mini-food gathering. And there were tiny beers!
Steve found some tasty 15-year-old cheese at the Schenectady Greenmarket.
Kim spotted a double-barreled McDonald's drive-thru in Watervliet.
Brian's neighborhoods have apparently opened a used furniture store -- on the front lawn.
Celina can apparently hear the sound of seeping sugar in a melon.
Got a question for Kristi? Now's the time to ask.
Tweets of the week
From @patrickhdonges: "Standing sober outside a strip joint in the rain. No one is this nice to their friends."
From @patrickhdonges: "First time at a strip club was everything I expected. Like Teppanyaki, but the food puts on a robe and walks away when it's done."
From @Aliceperson: "Excuse me-- why haven't you told me about NKOTB at SPAC?! You know it's my dream to drink wine and wear a scrunchie!"
From @KevinMarshall: "'Eating babies. Scott Murphy just doesn't get it.' 'Jim Tedisco devours infants. That's an Albany politician for you.'"
From @mstyne: "I still hate both of these goons."
There's a lot more going on around the Neighborhood, check it out. We just added a bunch of new sites. If you know of another great local blog we should include -- or person to follow on Twitter -- post a comment or send us an email: editors |at| alloveralbany |dot| com.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

I hear weirder things than that.

I hope that bike works out for Liz. I have seen a lot of 'craigslist' nightmares, especially with regards to fit or lack thereof (and especially for a 50 or 100 mile ride like Cure De Tour). You might have saved $ in the short run, but perhaps not in the end.

I also bought a red bike from craigslist today, mine was cheap and needs a tire. But I'm stoked cause its just want I wanted, all praise to craig and his listing skills.

Don't ditch the Twitter "crap." Please. I think they're hysterical and a good way of connecting the AOA community on another level.

Never again... until 4/5. Evey AOA reader better be in to cheer for "Aurelia" on amateur night. You know where.
