Craig and his wonderful list

morrisseyThe good thing about Craigslist: it's a window into our fellow community members' wants, needs and aspirations. The bad thing about Craigslist: it's a window into our fellow community members' wants, needs and aspirations.

Good or bad, we'll let you decide...

You know what ferrets love to eat? Apple Jacks.

Nothing says Easter like a dog in a frilly pink dress.

Kids for sale. You know, goats.

This first date with this guy includes meeting his family.

This guy wants you to picture him naked.

Here's a job description we've haven't seen before: assistant*muse*pal*model.

This guy wants to be your contact fairy -- which we're sure wouldn't be at all creepy.

An "englishman" is looking for a lady who's "slim, flirtatious, and ready to talk trash."

Wanted: prom fodder.

Seriously, eyes on the road! "You had beautiful eyes I could have kept staring but I was worried I would cause an accident" -- yes, exactly.

Is it possible that there's some kind of shrimp scampi fetish we've never heard of?

"I want you draw me a picture of morrisey and fold it up and tuck it away in my undies." She is human and she needs to be loved.

You're both checking each other out in class? Lesson to be learned: talk to each other!

It's always good to see people appreciate someone putting forth extra effort.

It turns out you can buy honey by the bucket...

... and pig manure free by the dump truck.

How do you end up having to sell a Doggie Easter Dress this close to the holiday? Did the dog get too fat for it? Did the seller realize too late "whoops, I already bought an Easter Dress for my dog and somehow completely forgot about it"? Or maybe the dog converted after the purchase (appropriate as a Doggie Easter Dress, not so much as a Doggie Passover Dress).

And can somebody film a dramatic re-enactment of the Contact Fairy fulfilling his promise to a lucky lady to the tune of Aerosmith's "Angel"? I can't pay much (or anything at all), but it'd bring me a lot of joy.

The contact guy really creeps me out.

Looks like Spring Fever has hit Albany!

Okay, as scary as Craigslist can be, Freecycle is even scarier. The concept is great -- people who want to give stuff away free so that it goes to good use post their items, and others post what they're looking for. But the items are not only random, they can be bizarre. Someone recently offered a bag of new and used pantyhose. Another offered an entire collection of used workout clothes, and you could only hope it was because she'd been so successful, not that she'd given up.

I don't usually read the posts because they creep me out so much (see contact fairy) but I couldn't help it when I saw the Morrisey pic. Oh, how I regret it.

Hysterical just hysterical, but yet scary and awkward....but entertaining, one night while my friend and I were having dinner at his house, we must of spent an hour or more just going through these and laughing our a**es off while drinking wine...which of coursed enhanced the entertainment...It got a lil freaky a few months later though, when a friend contacted me and said, " I think someone wrote about u on Craig's list"...the missed encounters or whatever its called....It indeed was the restaurant that I work at, and we narrowed it down to 3 of us....not sure who, but our thoughts were, waitresses are pretty easy to make a move on, leave a note on the check or something....well anyhow...love how u post these and love this website...CHEERS!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
