Summer just drove by

Mr. Ding-a-Ling truck

Why does stuff taste better from a truck?

Quick! Look out the front door! The first sign of warm weather just drove by!

@Mrs_Misanthrope snapped this pic today in Albany. She was nice enough to not taunt us with details of the ice cream snack she enjoyed.

Bam! That's right baby. I knew I'd make it in journalism someday.

A friend just texted me, saying "I read the ice cream truck post on AOA right before I left, and I saw one just now!" Exciting.

This post is awesome for two reasons:

A) ice cream truck made of WIN
B) I know everyone involved in the first two posts, but via different worlds

i am the person who LB texted. it looks like they come around Allen St. every day around 3:30, in case anyone wants to know -- yesterday it was college students rushing en masse to the truck, today it was small children.

i can't partake cause i'm lactose intolerant :(

@ehjay: you can still have bomb pops, can't you? I love bomb pops.

You can. But they call them firecrackers now.

The ice cream truck has been coming 'round the Delaware Ave area for about two weeks now!

Oh, I see. Is "firecrackers" a more PC name? I guess I can see that...

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
