Counting heads on same-sex marriage
The Albany Project is compiling a list of where state Senators stand on the same-sex marriage bill. By TAP's counting, there are only 23 Senators who would vote for the bill right now (22 Democrats and 1 Republican). David Paterson said this week that he would let Senate majority leader Malcolm Smith make the call on whether the bill would come up for a vote -- and Smith has said he doesn't want a vote unless he has enough votes to pass the bill.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
