Science!
Shirley Ann Jackson has been named to the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. President Obama has vowed that his administration will "restore science to its rightful place" in policy discussions. So, presumably, this panel will have some influence -- and not just be there to help Sasha and Malia with their science fair projects. [via @Ellsass]
