See through your school district

The Empire Center added school district payroll info to its SeeThroughNY database this week -- and the site has been crushed with traffic since (we didn't post this yesterday because the site kept timing out). It's also prompted quite the back-and-forth over whether this sort of info should be made public. Earlier on AOA: The New York State payroll database
