Have a drink with AOA

midtown tea and tap

It's at the corner of New Scotland and Ontario in Albany.

After the AOA birthday party in March, we heard from a bunch of people: "Again!"

So, we're holding a meetup/get-together/soiree May 28 at the Midtown Tap and Tea Room in Albany (map). We'll have the whole front room to ourselves from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Stop by, have a drink, say hi. Snacks are on AOA.

To make sure we'll have enough space, we do ask that you RSVP.

We're looking forward to seeing you!

Wait? Wait? No cupcakes? :(

I like you guys so much that I'll show up anywhere. A hotdog stand, MT&T, you just name it.

This time I'll leave the baby at home, so I can focus more on adult conversation about all things Albany and all things food.

Cheers.

Oh no! I have a music gig that night! :-(

I unfortunately will be working that night, so have fun without me. Have been to the Tea Room (found it and tried it on a whim) and thought it was delightful! Have fun without me.

I don't think I can make it. Too bad, because I just HAVE to meet all the obsessive blog commenters.

Boo! I want to go, but I'm busy that night. Have fun, everyone!

I should be able to make it. Put me at 80%!

Another one that I'll be out of town for. KHAAAAAN!

Boo! Thursdays aren't good for me. I guess I'll have to wait for the next one. :(

Oooh! I love this place! Me + one!

Look, let's call this what it is: the chance for pantaloons to redeem herself and actually show up. The obvious choice here is for us all to tell her it's a costume party.

B-
I'll be there. Although, I should warn you, I'm extremely boring & socially awkward in real life. I hope you can handle it.

Pantaloons-
It's a costume party.

@B: you are making the assumption he/she is not wearing a clown costume at home all day long. Let's use reverse psychology instead.

Pantaloons-
It's not a costume party.

I'm wearing a clown costume right now...

B&S (heh)-

I take offense to the notion that I wear a clown costume during the day. It's a Ghostbusters jumpsuit, people. Show some respect.

I find it incredibly kind you're throwing a party on my big birthday eve. Thank you. I forgive you for not sending me a cupcake last time.

Lovely! I am there!

I'm going to come dressed AS Pantaloons.

Drat! I never get to play with the cool kids on their special days.

I live nearby but have never been there- should stick my head in.

We should totally have nametags this time.

Curses! I'll be out of town that evening, so I'll be unable to perpetuate my web-lurking tendencies in real-life. Keep these events coming, AOA! Maybe I can make the next one.

Count me in

Rewrite that to say "Drinks and snacks are on AOA" and watch the line form.

I'm so there, and I promise not to stand protectively over the food all night, growling and snapping at anyone who gets too close.

I'm hoping to make it, but I have to second 'pantaloons' comments... at least until I have a few alcoholic beverages. then it's 'vroom vroom party starter' and all that.

Well, both the husband and I RSVPed separately, so there are actually 2 more tickets up for grabs. :) Sorry! We were too excited to confer before signing up!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
