The Workforce Challenge crowd
Sebastien took this photo of the 7000+ participants of last night's GHI Workforce Team Challenge race. He also has video of the start -- watching the motion of the crowd is sort of mesmerizing.
Here's a slideshow of more race pics. Sebastien captured some great expressions from the faces of finishers.
Also: KiMelodic got a few shots of the mass towing that apparently went on along Madison before the race.

Thx. I wanted to link to some good photos I saw last night on the TU website, but can't find them (vanished?). I saw Glenn D., local photog, at the finish line as well... but no shots so far. And as for B, a bottle of Jameson got the best of him once again, maybe he'll upload some cool shots later. I'm definitely not climbing on that ledge again :)

Nice pics, Sebastien but, uh, is that last one from the race or was it just someone you spotted at the park? :)

Nice shots Sebastien! I took a few photos, but this was my first time at a race like this, and I didn't realize they would finish so quickly :D lol... I walked up Madison, got some pizza, and started seeing the racers running by in the other direction. Whoops!
Here's a couple from the beginning of the race:

@Jon: that last one was doing crunches on that bench before the race. Its purpose is to convey the importance of warming up. I think :)

Heh, I am laughing at the repeated mentions of the last photo. Oh, Seb.
I don't trust my own judgement after half a bottle of Jameson. So yes, mine will have to wait, I'm sure everyone is in suspense. Here's a hint: they are photos of people running, much like all the other photos of people running.

Can I just say what a giant freaking clusterf#*k that race was? No distance markers! No water at the first water stop! And you walkers - DO NOT LINE UP AHEAD OF THE 10 MINUTE MILE MARKER!! If you do that, I am fully justified in pushing you and your 5 buddies walking abreast over and trampling you underfoot!! This is a RACE. Not a friggin' stroll! Get to the back of the line up!
Thanks for letting me vent.

Uh, Ellen... were you in the same race as me? There were distance markers with time at each mile. And I highly doubt they ever ran out of water at the first water stop. With water on both sides and a small army of people filling cups that just doesn't seem believable.
I'll agree with you on the walkers though. Every year I about run over one who had to line up at the 7 minute sign. Nothing against anyone who wants to walk, but yeah, get in back.

I spoke to one of my co-workers who worked the first water stop and they did run out of water. He said there were a lot of unhappy people.

There were not unhappy people at my stop where we were handing out PBR. Go unhappy people.
