Shopping the farmers' markets

farmers market report logoOne of the best things about weekends in the Capital Region is shopping the farmers' markets.

This week you can get a few strawberries-- but only if you show up early. There's also a little bit of asparagus left thanks to cooler temperatures. But again, if you want it, get there early.

Also, don't forget the new Delmar Farmer's Market on Saturday from 9-1...several farmers and crafters will be there, as well as music from the Solidarity Singers (9-11) and Brian Kaplan (11-1).

Beat me to it, BShaw. Looking forward to checking out the maiden voyage of the Delmar Market tomorrow!

Isn't there one in Menands, too? I've heard that's a good one.

Cohoes Market starts up today at 4 pm.

Yeah, there is one in Menands. And it IS a good one. It gets better every year. It's open Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. I don't know why it keeps getting ignored on this blog.
