Missing person: the sun

sun closeup

Have you seen this star?

After the rain and gray of last week, we were hoping for some solid sunlight this week. Alas, no. From the (paraphrased) National Weather Service forecast:

Today: Dull, possibly drizzly. A touch cool.

Tomorrow: Cloudy, warmer. Maybe some rain.

Wednesday: Gray, sort of hot. Afternoon thunderstorms.

Thursday: Cloudy, hot, muggy -- and, for excitement, afternoon thunderstorms.

Friday: Sunny! Hot! Like a real June day!

Saturday: Again!

So, uh... one more week.

The NY Times calls it Rain Rage. I call it living in the Northeast. Nonetheless, I'm ready for some sunshine.

The wicked Yellow Face! We hates it!!

AHHHH! The day star!! When I sleep, turn it off! :)

Oh, and I forgot. In remembering some of the outstanding quotes from Good Morning Vietnam, this banter comes to mind. An ode to the day star...

Adrian: Well, thank you, Roosevelt. What’s the weather like out there?

Roosevelt E. Roosevelt: “It’s hot! Damn hot! Real hot! Hottest things is my shorts. I could cook things in it. A little crotch pot cooking.”

Adrian: Well, tell me what it feels like.

Roosevelt E. Roosevelt: “Fool, it’s hot! I told you again! Were you born on the sun? It’s damn hot! It’s so damn hot, I saw little guys, their orange robes burst into flames. It’s that hot! Do you know what I’m talking about?”

I like Thunderstorms, but I'm ready for some nice June weather. I feel like we got cheated out of a June altogether.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
