Oh no they didn't
Fighting words from the LA Times this weekend: "There is a legislative body even more divided, more hapless and more dysfunctional than the one in Sacramento." That would be New York. Hey, LAT, at least our government isn't paying its bills with IOUs. Well, at least not yet.

As far as I'm concerned, Cali can talk crap all they want. It's justified. I don't know any New Yorker who would defend our Legislature right now. Smells too much like Stockholm Syndrome.

I'll just say this - at least we never allowed Gary Coleman, Larry Flynt or Mary Carey to run for the state's highest office. Oh wait... forgot about the year Howard Stern ran for Governor of New York. Dang it.

Stockholm Syndrome? Nope.
I'd say the smell is something more rural.

Regardless what the LA Times says about our adult-sized children legislating the state, they gave me more information about the issue at hand than the local NY papers (I'm pointing at you NY Times) have in recent weeks. At least it's a summary and not some detailed article that goes astray of the original headline that drew me in. Besides, the NY Legislature is beginning to really chap my hide, since I have to look at that stupid bldg everyday!

Yeah, I'm right behind you on the IOUs. Thanks to a lack of direct democracy, our dysfunction is at least allowed raise taxes when it wants to.
