What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: business advice, naughty bits, Woodstock, Dick Cheney, pancakes, frustration, stupid questions, passports, x-ray vision, awesome dogs and gravity wells.

Matt says the best business advice he ever got came from Debbie (from Debbie's Kitchen).

Jackie took a closer look at a flower's "naughty bits."

It sounds like Sara had a good time in Woodstock.

Bobby is the "not so good looking" waiter. (At least they didn't give him a deathly stare.)

Bob F found Dick Cheney in the woods.

Kristi saved a bunch of money on her contacts, thanks to B.

FiS had an Awesome Dog.

Steve had the kind of breakfast that you might think only exists in dreams.

Albany Jane is frustrated with her farm share (but at least she's had rainbow cake).

Leigh say there is such a thing as a stupid question.

Naomi gave away her 100th item.

And Rob celebrated American. In Canada. And it made him think.

Tweets of the week

From @remarceissac: "I doubt you have xray vision & staring at them will not make them pop out of my shirt nor will it make me show them to you. So stop. Ktnx."

From @Mrs_Misanthrope: "Why did the chicken cross the road? No, seriously. I almost hit a rouge chicken on Krumkill rd and I have no idea what it was doing there."

From @LisaBarone: "Wish FB would stop suggesting exboyfriends as friends. Yes, I know, I thought we were a good suggestion too. Clearly, not."

From @pallagia: "Still living. Still pregnant. Belleh is taking over the rest of me - it has its own gravity well, with satellites rotating about my belly."

From @Mrs_Misanthrope: "Mom and Step Dad only acknowledge one another when quarreling over what is best for their grandson. Sorry gays, marriage is a sacred bond."

Oh those rouge chickens. Almost as bad as the foundation or (shudder) mascara ones.

Ha! I call foul. Thanksgiving pie orders pay the sales tax bill at Debbie's kitchen. So when you eat that delicious, gooey, DK pie with your family, you are actually doing your civic duty.

Meant to say rogue chicken. But, whatever.

omfg pancakes and beer sounds incredible right now. how come i never heard of this wolff's biergarten place? :(

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
