Albany was recently given an "All-America City" award -- which prompts Paul Bray to wonder in a TU op/whether the selection committee was actually looking at Albany.

I'm sure the grammar posse will be all over this, but does it bother anyone else that it's called the "All-America" and not "All-American" City award?
It just *sounds* wrong (famous last words of people who screw everything up when it comes to grammar, right?).

@amymengel The sign on the Thruway that says Welcome to Albany, an All-America City has always bugged me for that reason.

I just wanna give a big shout out to all the folks of Albany that have worked so hard to achieve the status of completely mediocre. Bravo.
