While the muggles sleep...

harrypotter halfbloodLocal Harry Potter fans will be at the movies tonight.

As of this afternoon, 13 screenings of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince had sold out at local theaters, according to Fandango. Everything was bought up at Colonie Center and there was one showing still open at Crossgates.

There were still open midnight screenings at The Spectrum (you can now buy online), the AMC Loews Rotterdam, and the Bow Tie Movieland in Schenectady (two screenings).

If I had any free time, this would be THE EVENT I'd want to attend that goes along with the Harry Potter release:

A show in a chasm followed by a mass trip to the theater.

I want to go tonight! But staying up until 3am is probably not very wise... :/

there's also a midnight screening at the hi-way drive in in coxsackie

The midnight screening at bow-tie in Schdy not only started 45 minutes late, but the film also melted 20 minutes before the end. Yes. Melted.

The free passes to see it another day are not any consolation at all.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
