What's up in the Neighborhood
Among the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: The Track, sunflowers, giveaways, tomatoes, farms, rainbows, fencing, camping, knife fights, Asian markets, date spots, pet peeves and donuts.
Dan put together a bunch of small thoughts about Saratoga. (And went through some of the ways to score grandstand tickets at The Track.)
Naomi listed all the things she's given away -- and messages from some of the recipients.
Melissa's sunflowers were missing one thing: sun.
Leah's tomatoes got the blight.
Bob F captured a double rainbow over Troy's Monument Square.
Kim spent some time on the farm -- and took some great photos.
They're hangers. They're fencing. As kimelodic found out, they're both.
Jess L went camping on an island in the Adirondacks.
Bobby's office struggled with the question: knife fight or mini golf?
Matt has a plan for propping up the state's finances. It involves speeding.
Ashallan thinks the state office campus is kind of enchanting.
Kristi says Emack and Bolio's is a great spot for a date.
Daniel B shared his favorite donut place in the Capital Region.
Steve checked out the new Asian market in Colonie -- and found some geoducks.
And Leigh would appreciate it if you turned down that song.
Tweets of the week
From @rmadeo: "Saw a guy shaving in his car this AM. That's not a time saving necessity, it's schtick. "Oh, look at me. I'm so busy I shave in the car.""
From @B_Nut: "apparently tried to check email in bed last night, and just woke up spooning a laptop."

Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

I loved Leigh's bus pet peeves, especially the bit about the guy blasting music. What's wrong with people? That is so inconsiderate.
My tomatoes crapped out too, but they got the wilt, not the blight.
I would love to camp out on an island like Jess did.
Overall a very interesting crop this week!
