The blight
Blue Hill chef Dan Barber wrote an interesting piece in NYT about the tomato blight that's swept through the Northeast this summer (including our garden). Among the factors at work: damp weather, big box stores and... growing numbers of home gardeners. Earlier on AOA: First aid for your tomatoes.

In fairness, nearly everything has a blight or fungus or something this year. Raspberries, cucumbers, even my bishop's weed has some kind of blight. Except for my dill, which has grown 6 feet tall.
