The Capital Alliance of Young Professionals is having a "speed networking" get together Wednesday evening -- you switch people every three minutes. It's at 6pm at the Wolf Rd Holiday Inn. Tickets are $10.

Who would actually do that? I'll admit I'm a little skeptical about anyone who engages in strategic socializing in the first place, but that just seems above and beyond. What do you do? Sit down, shake hands, exchange business cards, and pledge your undying nepotism to one another.

I have met one of the founders the "Alliance" and this person is nice.
