Stewart's Philly Vanilla ice cream took first place in the World Dairy Expo's ice cream competition. Stewart's Philly Vanilla has bean specks in it -- they also offer unspecked vanilla and French vanilla. Half-gallons of Philly vanilla will be on sale next week. "I noticed that Kraft won for best feta, too, and you can’t tell me Kraft makes the best feta. (Something called Lactalis American Group came in second for best feta.) Some food awards have important cred and others don’t. This is a nice p.r. nod for Stewarts from an agribusiness expo.
I’d like to have seen who the other competitors in the vanilla ice cream contest were. Only 24 entries in a “world” competition?"
